CONNECT Vivid Vision, 2025

This vision is not where CONNECT is today, but it is exactly where CONNECT will be in the future. It serves as a guiding light to help us step into what you will be able to see, hear, know and feel three years from now when you interact with CONNECT. Our dreams are not small, but neither is the impact we will have on our community. Change is coming to the way healthcare is delivered, and more and more responsibility will be shifted to you, the consumer. We, and many of the people we work with, recognize this shift and we have created a place where you can take back control of your health. Now, we build on the last two and a half years to make impactful changes in the health of our community. Welcome to CONNECT, and welcome to our vision of the future.

Our Clientele

CONNECT is the first thought when it comes to health. It is the first referral physicians make for active individuals, it is the go-to in Grey-Bruce, and the household name when it comes to managing health. There is no need to look at what resources exist in the community because our clients and their friends already know to call CONNECT first.

 

Our clients come from all age groups and many different niche populations attend CONNECT, but they all have in common an active lifestyle, a desire to maintain or increase that active lifestyle, and a motivation to make progress. They want active solutions that they can control, and see injury as an opportunity to improve their overall health.

 

Physicians and other healthcare professionals from the surrounding area actively refer to CONNECT. They seek our opinions because they know and understand the quality of the care we provide.

Our Team

CONNECT has a team of 15 full-time clinical staff, including five orthopaedic physiotherapists, two women’s health physiotherapists, one paediatric physiotherapist, four registered massage therapists, two chiropractors and one kinesiologist. We have consultative team members including an occupational therapist and a speech and language pathologist for our paediatrics program. Our non-clinical staff consists of two full-time administrators, an office manager, a gym manager, and multiple part-time fitness and yoga instructors that operate during off-hours. We also have a support team of additional resources including a part-time cleaner, a lawyer, a banker, an accountant, a business coach, a financial planner, and various regular suppliers who know our business and our plan. 

 

CONNECT has a clear organizational chart that makes it easy for the team to understand who to report to and to whom to bring concerns. This allows multiple individuals throughout the chart to take on leadership roles within the areas they are managing. 

 

Each member of our clinical team with three years of experience or more operates within their niche patient group at least 75% of the time, and each clinician has taken ownership over establishing their niche and creating their own presence within the community that tailors specifically to those people. We work with passionate, confident clinicians that are excited to serve specific groups because of the depth of knowledge they have in that area. They are each reliable, accountable, and organized. They spend time building their own businesses within CONNECT to help them create the career of their dreams. 

 

Each member of CONNECT shares their niche and passion in the form of specialized group series that run multiple times throughout the year and are sought after by members of the healthcare community for referrals to participate.

Leadership, Mentoring, and Teaching

CONNECT is known for producing phenomenal clinicians because of our focus on onboarding and ongoing mentorship. Regardless of experience level when joining the business, we have an onboarding program that includes business, sales, marketing, and clinical mentoring. We have ongoing group mentorship on a monthly basis and frequent impromptu case review sessions within disciplines, and clinicians are invited to share their valuable insights on cases regardless of the clinical years under their belts. In fact, we do such a good job of building clinicians that the few that do decide to move on from CONNECT find themselves as top performers at another clinic almost immediately.

 

We regularly take on students for placements, co-ops and observerships because we value educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are one of the most sought-after placements for physiotherapy students because we are known for the high level of clinical and business education that our team provides. Our clinicians seek opportunities for teaching students and the community at various levels. 

 

The team is encouraged to attend conferences and courses and to bring that information back to share with everyone. The owners regularly travel for conferences and business masterminds that continue to drive growth at CONNECT.

Our Culture

Providing the best customer service is just what we do. We spend considerable time and money emphasizing customer service training because we know that this creates better outcomes for our clients. Our team prides itself on the service they provide because it is the backbone of our business. We stay on time without exception. We are accountable, reliable, and responsible for the work we do.

The health of our team is just as important as the health of our clientele. Each member of our team takes their physical and mental health seriously and isn’t afraid to share successes and struggles with each other. We support each other and pay attention to any signs of burnout, though we structure our days and weeks to allow for a fluctuating balance of work:life enjoyment.

​

CONNECT supports the independent growth of each of the team members' businesses. We are aware of each other's own visions and BHAGs that they’re actively working towards.  We share each other's passion for progress and motivate each other to achieve our goals.

We regularly take time out of our schedules for team-building events and socials. There is a close bond between all members of our team, and we can count on each other for support without negative conversation.

​

We have quarterly all-team meetings where we review the CONNECT Vivid Vision, celebrate successes, plan next targets and steps, and develop skills that are important to the success of the business as a whole. There are also meetings within each discipline coordinated by the clinical manager as needed for discipline-specific information.

Our Community

CONNECT has strong relationships with other local businesses, both within healthcare and without. We #SupportLocal at every opportunity, referring to and working with our local businesses whenever we can.

 

We are members of the Chamber of Commerce, and our team actively looks for opportunities to give back on a local and global basis. This includes volunteering on committees and sports and recreation, participating in local fundraising and health initiatives, and travelling abroad to provide outreach and education in foreign countries.

Physicians in our community have become an extension of our team because we have continually proven ourselves to be impactful, respected members of the greater healthcare community. We provide such quality in our communications, diagnoses, and insights that we have become an invaluable extension of their medical practices.

Our Clinic Environment

You walk into our 10,000sqft facility and are immediately embraced by the energy and possibility that is almost palpable. It is a bright, open space filled with people making change. You can feel positivity radiating off the team as they interact with each other and their clients. Everyone is working 1:1, and every single one of the 10 private treatment rooms are constantly in use. 

 

In addition to 10 private treatment rooms, CONNECT has two gym spaces, a paediatrics room with specialized equipment, a therapy pool, and a yoga studio, plus a multi-use outdoor space. One gym serves the rehabilitation population, the second serves the specialized fitness series that are run by our team, as well as other unique classes such as spin and kick-boxing classes. The paediatrics room contains all the specialized equipment needed for paediatric intensive programs to run, as well as providing a space for everyday kids' physiotherapy. The yoga studio houses a mix of women’s health physiotherapy, yoga-informed physiotherapy, public and private yoga classes and series, and hot yoga. CONNECT buzzes from 7am to 8pm every day, running like a well-oiled machine.

Our Financial Statement

CONNECT is a seven-figure company with a positive financial statement and year-over-year growth and net revenue increases. CONNECT has doubled its 2021 total sales. Passive income streams and investments held by the company create a stable long-term financial environment for further growth and calculated risk-taking. This financial cushion allows us to support our team in exploring new service options that they would like to offer as a part of their own career design.

 

Our independent contractors are compensated well above industry standards and we provide them with resources for maximizing their earnings, tax deductions, and arranging their own sustainable financial futures. We charge rates that are well above the market but are easily justified with the level of service and care provided at CONNECT. We have pro-bono work factored into our monthly revenue which allows us to serve some facets of our community that would struggle to receive care otherwise through our rehabilitation scholarship program.

 

Our budget is continually optimized to ensure the highest quality client experience and work environment and a strong paid marketing presence, while continually protecting the financial stability of the company.

Our Brand And Marketing

CONNECT as a brand is synonymous with healthcare, and not the clinical, sterile kind of healthcare, but the kind of healthcare that actually cares about your health. We are prominently known within our community. There’s no need to ask for directions to CONNECT, everyone knows who and where we are.

 

Our social media is equal parts education and entertainment, but it resonates with the vision and values we hold in every single post. Our team members each manage their own social media which runs parallel to ours, targeting their own specific populations but still resonating with the values that we all share.

 

Part of our marketing budget goes towards supporting local teams and athletes, not because we get a high return on those sponsorships, but because we know how important youth sport is to our community.

 

We don’t market to physicians, we let our work speak for itself. Our marketing to them comes from what their patients say about us, the results we get, and the communications we send them to help their clinical decision-making. They know we are experts, they regularly consult us on cases, and they actively refer to us because they’ve seen exactly what we can do.

 

Our team regularly hosts workshops, both at CONNECT and at local businesses to share their specific niche knowledge with the community to help build their individual markets. On average, you can find one of our team members out hosting a workshop each week. They complete training on hosting an effective workshop as part of their onboarding, and they use this as a way to bolster their own businesses.

 

Each member of our team is known both individually and as a member of the CONNECT team. Their personal brands are well recognized within the community and their niche target markets
